Learn how to use 'Text to speech' to instantly create realistic AI-generated voiceovers seamlessly in your video editor.

Whether you’re feeling a bit camera-shy, short on time, or just sick of re-recording the same line 12 times, elevate.io’s built-in AI voice generator makes it easy to add clean, clear voiceovers in seconds right in your browser.

Here's how to get started with 'Text to speech' in elevate.io:

  1. Head to the 'Effects' tab and select 'Generators'

On the left-hand side of the editor, click the 'Effects' tab. Then, switch over to 'Generators'.

  1. Drag 'Text to speech' to the timeline

Find the 'Text to speech' block, and drag it right onto the timeline.

  1. Type in your script

Now make your way over to the top-right corner of the editor. You'll find an empty text box - this is where you’ll type what you want your AI voice to generate.

  1. Change AI voice narrator and adjust volume

Play around with the different narrator options by toggling the ‘Voice’ setting.

You can adjust how loud or soft you want your AI voice to be, which is super helpful for layering over music, sound effects, or if you don’t want your narrator yelling like a sports commentator.

  1. Generate!

Once you’re happy with your script, voice, and volume settings, hit ‘Generate’. Then, just playback your video to hear the 'Text to speech' in action.

Remember: if you make any changes - like switching the AI voice, updating the text or adjusting the volume - don’t forget to hit ‘Generate’ again.

Now go forth, and let the AI do the talking.
