When you're editing in elevate.io, you might end up with small gaps between clips, especially after trimming or cutting. There are several ways to close gaps on your timeline - also called a ripple delete.
1. Select and close one gap
If you see a gap between two clips on the timeline, you can select the area between the two clips and press delete to close that space.
2. Close all gaps
To clean up multiple gaps at once, right-click anywhere on the timeline and choose 'Close gaps'. This will automatically close all available gaps across your timeline.
3. Close multiple gaps
If you select several clips, right-click, and choose ‘Close gaps’. You will only close the gaps within those selected clips. Sometimes, you'll have gaps spaced out over different tracks. If you select your gap and hit delete more than once, it will ripple delete across all tracks - but the gap will only close far enough to line up one edit point at a time.
