When editing in elevate.io, selecting and moving clips on your timeline to put a video together is super simple - and there are several ways to do it depending on what you need to do.
Click and drag with the pointer tool
Use the pointer tool - located on the left, right above the timeline - to click on any individual clip to highlight it, and then drag it anywhere on the timeline to reposition to where you would like it.

Lasso select multiple clips
Click, hold and drag your pointer across a group of clips to select them all at once. This is great for moving multiple clips together without having to select each one individually.

Use select forward / backward tools
If you need to shift a whole section of your timeline, head to the toolbar, above the timeline on the left-hand side, and use:
Select forwards: Click and hold once on the timeline to select everything to the right of that point
Select backwards: Click and hold to select everything to the left.
These tools can be great when you need to make some space on your timeline to add footage, or work on a section separately from the rest of the edit.
