Here’s everything you need to know about how tokens work in elevate.io.

• All users (free or paid) receive 100 introductory tokens when you sign up. These don’t expire, so there’s no rush to use them.

• If you’re on a paid plan, you’ll also get 100 monthly recurring tokens, which automatically resets to 100 when your subscription renews.

Where to find your token information

Once you're on the homepage, go to the 'Admin' tab, and click the section labeled 'Tokens'.

Token Balance

At the top, you’ll see your token Balance - that's the total number of tokens you have available right now.

If you are a free user, the maximum amount you will see is 100.

If you are on a paid plan, this might include:

• Your 100 monthly recurring tokens (underneath the balance, you'll see how many of these tokens are left before your next billing cycle.)

• Any purchased tokens, which will persist forever until you use them.

• Any leftover introductory tokens from when you first signed up.

Want more tokens?

If you are on a paid plan, you can easily buy more by clicking the blue Add tokens button.

Once you have selected your preferred package and hit Purchase, the system will charge the card linked to your account (or your team admin's account, if you are a member in another team). You will receive a confirmation email from elevate.io and Paddle, our payment provider. 

By default, any member of your project or Team can purchase tokens. If you’d rather they request tokens instead of buying them directly, you can switch this off in 'Settings'.

Monitor token usage

Below Balance, you’ll find your token usage log.

Here you’ll see entries for:

• When tokens were used

• What tool they were used on

• How many tokens were used

• Who used them

Checking token estimation for AI tools

To check how many tokens an AI tool requires, head to the editor and drag the generator onto the timeline. Once you begin entering a prompt, an estimate will appear beneath it.

Remember: until you click Generate, your tokens aren’t spent.
